Meet alpha Gam

Founded on May 30, 1904 at Syracuse University, Alpha Gamma Delta is one of the largest international greek letter organizations. They promote academic excellence, philanthropic giving, ongoing leadership and most importantly,  a spirit of loving sisterhood. Alpha Gamma Delta and has the most Canadian Chapters of any other Panhellenic member, with Chapters all across the country, including two in Alberta -- the other at the University of Calgary. The University of Alberta Chapter, Delta Kappa celebrated it’s 50th Charter Anniversary in 2014.

 Alpha Gam's main philanthropic focus is the Alpha Gamma Delta Fighting Hunger, as well as a variety of other educational programs, which benefit both collegiate and alumnae sisters. Delta Kappa Chapter has attained the Foundation's Jewel Society Status for the last 7 years for continuous contributions to the Foundation. 

The official mascot of Alpha Gamma Delta is Skiouros the Squirrel, chosen in 1915 to represent the Fraternity's spirit of energetic alertness and progress. The colours of Alpha Gamma Delta are red, buff and green, the flower is the red and buff rose with the green asparagus plumosa fern , and the jewel is the pearl. The vision of Alpha Gamma Delta is to "Inspire the Woman, Impact the World".
